Our mission is to use small-scale flower farming as a hands-on tool for growth, education, and empowerment — especially for youth who need a new path and a place to take root.
We’re Jessica and Amy—Juvenile Probation Officers in Lake County, Indiana with a shared passion for flowers, community, and second chances. Over the past four years, we've used our summer months to run a small flower farm as a community service initiative for youth on probation. What began as a way to teach kids how to plant, water, and care for flowers quickly bloomed into something much bigger.
This past summer, we became more deeply involved in planning and saw firsthand how transformative gardening can be. Many of the young people we work with have never been exposed to homegrown flowers, fruits, or vegetables—let alone the idea that they can grow beauty and nourishment in their own backyards. That realization inspired us to grow beyond our current space and bring this experience into our own communities.
With 1,000 square feet each and growing support from others willing to share their land, our vision is to expand into urban spaces and create educational opportunities centered on horticulture, empowerment, and hope. Our dream is to show every child we meet that no matter where you come from, big dreams are always within reach—with hard work, a little dirt, and a lot of heart.
